How do I turn a 2D drawing into 3D sketch drawing?

Hi, I am wondering if anybody can help.

I have created a 2D drawing of the front of a piece of furniture I have designed. I need to create it into a 3D drawing like shown below. Is this something which can be done on AutoCAD? (left image my design, right image how I need it to look)

Thank you

Surely, use command EXTRUDE

If you want them to be 3dsolid, use command boundary on the lines first.

I have tried this but when I try and 3D rotate my drawing it won't let me get the angle like my second image.

I am also trying to recreate this in the 3D workspace however, when I try to draw a line in between 2 lines I have already drew so they all connect it won't let me. For example, the two vertical lines highlighted I need to draw a line across between the two lines however it won't connect if that makes sense.

I also won't let me extend up the line when you hover over before clicking to create a line. Do you know anything about this too?

Sorry I am new to AutoCAD!!

Thankyou 🙂

Hi @Anonymous

Have a look at the UCS and manipulating the UCS. It's what allows you to draw in different planes
