How do I get my MTEXT to shift appearance without exploding?

What if you don't want to explode the text? I don't need this to be individual lines. I've used MTEXT since it was a command, literally, I've been using ACAD since it was invented, and now my MTEXT is shifting the appearance from where it actually is.

Is there a solution other than exploding?

@lspencer5EA83 Did you rule out a font substitution taking place in your one troublesome file? We've all (well, many of us anyway) have used AutoCAD since it was invented, that is usually the primary reason.

Did you move to a new PC and forget to being along a font(s)?
Someone else send you this file but they did not send you their font?

OR... there is a free STRIPMTEXT lisp that's been around for over a decade that will fix the MTEXT without exploding it if you can't use the modern right-click format removal inside your MTEXT editor to do the same. Just double-check your STYLE setting to ensure it is what you want it to be.
