How can I center single line text into the centre of a circle?

Hello!

I'm having some troubles trying to center single line text into the center of a circle.

I'm using AutoCAD 2018 (Mac), latest version.

I have to draw the text of a round button (see attached pdf), but if I perform Single Line Text>Justify>Centre and then select the centre of the circle, the text (Example: "0" button on the pdf) appears uncentered (in vertical line with the centre of the circle, but way up).

Any thoughts about it? Thanks!

Change the alignment to middle-centre, match the alignment with centre of circle, and then... it look good to me.

Center justification is to the midpoint of the base-line.  Use Middle or Middle-Center.

There is a difference between M and MC justifications, but not in all situations.  Middle uses the middle of the drawn shape  of the character(s) involved, whereas Middle-Center uses horizontally the middle of the overall width, and vertically the middle of the specified height, regardless of the drawn shape(s) involved.  So changing the content of Middle-justified Text can change the vertical position of its base-line, but that does not happen with Middle-Center-justified Text.

With a single full-height character without extensions beyond the specified height [such as "3"], it doesn't make any difference.  But note the differences in these single-character Text objects -- their insertion points  are all on the dashed grey line, but see how their left-end-of-base-line  grips vary in vertical position on the left, but not on the right:
