High resolution PDF export with plot transparency checked

The image on the left is with the plot transparency checked when I print as PDF. The one on the right is without the plot transparency.
As you can see, everything looks good except when you zoom in closely, the text doesn't look crisp but rather "jagged" or "pixelated" with the plot transparency checked. The text looks super crisp on the right without the plot transparency checked.
Is it because AutoCAD has to rasterize everything when the plot transparency checked?
Is there a way to make the text looks crisp WITH the plot transparency checked?
I was told the only way this can happen is to do it in Adobe Illustrator because it doesn't rasterize everything. Is that true?
