Hiding background text while editing Mtext

Just upgraded from 2011 to 2015.

In 2011, when I would open up and edit MText, it would block out any of the other text in the background for a clean editing screen.

In 2015, if I double click to edit my MText, I can still see all the other text in the background since it is transparent.  This is kind of confusing with a lot of different lines of text on the page.

Is there an easy solution?

Thanks

Michael

I don't have the "show background option"  to select or deselect.  It shows up with the "Always Display . . . " one checked but then when I open up the editor it doesn't expand the text I am editing, there fore there is nothing in the background to hide.

I'm not sure why the background option is missing for you, but to have it realign and resize the text when editing, you want to uncheck "Always Display as WYSIWYG" (MTEXTFIXED=2).
