good day,

I have one draw created with three views. I want to add dimensioning only in one view. Is that possible? Until now when i create the dimensioning in one view appears in the others.

Thanks,

If your three ‘views’ are in three separate viewports, each with a different view, then put your dimensions on a unique layer. Then ‘freeze’ that unique layer in the two VPs where the dims should not show. The viewport freeze on the unique dim layer will only show your dims in one VP and ‘hide’ the dims in the other two. Note: this procedure does not affect any objects in modelspace.

Hi,

it sounds that you're asking about Model viewports ... if that's your need then i doubt that it could be .

Check out this link with particular attention to the three bullets:

  • Dimension in model space for plotting in model space.
  • Dimension in model space for plotting in paper space.
  • Dimension in layouts.

Note that it is is recommended that you use the 3rd method since AutoCAD 2002.
