Hidden Lines

This started happening today with AutoCad LT 2024 

The selected objects turn into hidden lines as shown in the picture.

I think it's just a feature but i can't find a way to turn it off. Any suggestions help.

Don't turn off hardware acceleration, instead try changing SELECTIONEFFECT to 1

It's both.  For the newer "neon glow" selection effect instead of the older small-dashed effect, you need both the SELECTIONEFFECT System Variable [read about this in Help for that] and Hardware Acceleration turned on.
