Help with the stretch command- standard geometry

Hi,

I'm working on a decorative panel for CNC laser cutting. The file is in DWG format and it's a simple polyline geometry.

I'm trying to use the stretch command to change the overall width of the panel so it can suit different dimensions (specifically thinner), but every time I use it it just moves all the geometry.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

No it is not by any stretch of the imagination, nothing simple about your 100 polyline design

Based on your DWG file, that stack of 100 Plines should be turned into a BLOCK then scaled in X or Y direction only using PROPERTIES command to get your desired "narrower" choice. Give it a try.

Thanks for the reply, I have been able to fix it using this method.

Are there any steps I can take to turn it back into simple geometry?

Type BURST.  It's explode but for blocks to maintain attributes and properties.

If you can live with insert a block with non uniform scale ☺

See the second half of my initial reply on how to do what you want for width change.
