Help With Changing Certain Parts of Lines a Different Color

I just got autoCAD today and am trying to make a model of a cello (musical instrument). I am making it based on this picture:

and have all the circles drawn. however, I don't know how to change certain portions of the circles a different color (they are all white).

HI,

there are many ways for do that; let's start with :

  • La (layer) command. (see below image) by making layers with it's own color and specs for each.
  • select the item you need to change color then Ctrl+1.

Note: this is for AutoCAD software.. since i notice another thing from your image.

HI @Anonymous,

 

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community! 

As @imadHabash indicated, AutoCAD is a layer based CAD program. Isolating similar objects to specific layers will help you create the geometry.

 

Layers can have properties assigned such as lineweight, linetype, color, etc 

Here is a screenshot of some suggested layers to get you started.

To change your existing objects to layers, select the items you want to alter and then either select the desired layer from the Ribbon or from Properties.

Are you going to draw this in 3D or 2D?
