Firstly, as the post states, I am new to AutoCAD, completely new. So, I do have a question and being new here, or with AutoCAD, it is seemingly a deep dive question for me.
Task: to draw a site with six bounding points using UTM coordinates onto an accurate representation of a map (Esri or Google) in AutoCAD.
I have searched the internet and so far, can’t seem to find anything that just says step one, two and three that’s it! All seem to go in circles and not even anywhere what my situation is.
Out of the searching, I have learned of geolocation or georeferencing a drawing. Also did take some time to vaguely learn bits on UTM versions and Zones etc. That made sense so far! (I think). A simple video would help as then I could possibly replicate visually as well. Or at least with a proper instruction to this situation can help as I have been at it the last 3 days and can’t seem to pull it off! I have access to AutoCAD 2025 courtesy of Autodesk.
Thanks in advance.
