Help needed to know how to remove object lines from overlapping shapes

My student wanted to merge these 3 rectangular prisms but we don't know how to remove the lines to make it onto one uniform shape. I tried "union" but did not work. Please help

Thanks folks. I forgot to click "enter" when using the union tool. It works now. I still don't know how to remove the line in an arch. I will post another question

Not sure what you mean by removing a LINE from an ARC.

But once you successfully UNIONed the 3d Solid objects, you can move the now single 3d Solid object out of the way or place it on a different Layer to turn off and then do as you will with the LINE or ARC objects left underneath.
