Having Issues with the line types and with units

When I try to use any type of line in Autocad, it comes out crocked and doesn't respect the line that was selected in an specific layer, this happens with continous lines and any type of dashed line. I have tried to delete the layer and created it again, it doesn't work.

With the units, I used in the past Architectural in length type with precision of 0'-0.00, but it now changes it to a fraction. I don't undestand why. When I change the units to meters, it obligates me to work in inches. It says that option is not available for architectural or engeneering linear units. I use meters for all of my models, I have used architectural with meters in the past with the version of last year. It is now that it gave me this issue.

I have 2024 Autocad version right now

What can I do to fix both of this problems?

For that issue:  Architectural units have always been in feet-inches-fractions.  If you want feet and decimal inches, use Engineering units.

Not sure what you mean: do you just need to turn on ORTHO before you start drawing your line?

Or set then turn on SNAP command?

Or do you mean, on your monitor, a line drawn at an angle is stair-stepped, aka jagged, not smooth?

Elaborate please.

Did you use DWGUNITS command to change your DWG from inches to meters? If you only used UNITS command, that does not change anything, it's just a display choice you want to see.

Let me be very specific, I need to work with architectural in meters in 1:50 Scale and when I go to Drawing units and change it, the precision shows up in Imperial system. Even files that I had previously (in other computer) in Metric systems is showing up in Imperial System. How do I change that. I've been dwindling in the internet for several procedures and none seems to fix the matter.

I made a 2 min video explaining specifically what I mean: https://www.loom.com/share/04af3176622b4efe956b8186f0b6dfa8

Then use the ACADISO.DWT not the ACAD.DWT Template to draw.

I need a more detailed explanation of what you mean by that.

Could you have an acaddoc.lsp file, or something in the APPLOAD Startup Suite, that is changing your units when you open drawings?

this is NOT how you change a DWG to meters

This is the correct method

If you mean you want to do architectural-type drawings, that does not mean you want to use "Architectural" units in AutoCAD's meaning of the word.  "Architectural" units means Imperial feet-inches-fractions, only.  If you want to work in Metric units and precision settings, whether to draw architectural or civil engineering or product design or whatever other kinds of drawings, you must use AutoCAD's "Decimal" variety of units.
