HATCH NOT SHOWING UP IN DRAWING

Hi everyone I need some help with my hatch issue. I have opened a drawing that was created in Autovad Realease 12 and tried to hatch a part of it in Autocad 2016 but the hatch patterns are not showing up and it does not matter what hatch pattern I use, any suggestions ?

As that seems to be drawing dependent please upload the drawing and show us the object you'd like to hatch so we can test it on our systems.

HI @jbaldeo,

I assume that you have tried different scales of the hatch patterns.  Is the file Metric or Imperial?

Try running AUDIT on the file as well as PURGE.  Then apply a hatch with different scales to see if it shows up. I am happy to look at the drawing file too to see if this is indeed the issue or if there is something else going on. If you would like me to do this please attach your file to a post.

Did you check the scale for hatch?
After applying the hatch change the scale value and take a look.

you may hatch on already turn off layer. you may need to check your layers status.

I have tried almost all the scales and all my layers are turned on, unfortunately my boss could not wait for a solution because the job was a priority so he did what I told him not to do which is copyclip and pasteorig to a new drawing template and overwrite which worked but now I don't have the drawing. The drawing was from realese 14 version. Thanks anyway everyone.

could be a couple reasons the hatch didnt appear correctly.

Thanks everyone, those solutions sounds promising, unfortunately I lost my drawing is no longer available so I do not know what would have been the final solution, but I believe the fill and the system variable maxlines might have helped, maxhatch is not recognised in this version. Thanks for the tip!  I just updated to AutoCAD 2018 for Mac and the same issue occurred.  My "HPMAXLINES" was preset to 100000 and I couldn't see anything but when I adjusted it to 10000000 my hatches showed up.
