Hatch Issue : Hatch Origin not following Origin Point

CAD Hatch.jpgI am currently using CAD 2016, but the problem with this drawing also exists in 2007 LTE. I set my origin and go to hatch my 2'x2' Net and the hatch snaps to another origin point. It seems in hatch edit the hatch origin command keeps changing from current to specified, but the specified is not that one I chose.

Typically these are the steps I take to set my hatch origin;

  1. UCS -> OR -> (select my origin)
  2. H (for hatch command)
  3. select my properties / Scale
  4. Pick Internal Point
  5. Click and that's it.

But with this problem no matter what ORigin I pick it will not follow. I can go into hatch edit and specific origin Via the ribbon tool, and it still will not snap to it.

As you can see in the above photo the hatch does not follow the ORigin on along the red lines on the bottom right of the drawing.

Your UCS is rotated near or 180 degrees on Y axis, what is the reason for that?

Attach your drawing here (2007 version) and let's see why.

Please see attached Drawing. (Had to clean it up since it is confidentional) All settings are the same though. They X and Y were rotated at the time of the screen shot while playing around with my UCS, but it is fixed. In 2007 I can click the hatch and select the right orgin (it works, but it is an annoyance to do over and over) in 2016 this does not work.

I have checked the following things from other posts with no success.

SNAPBASE is 0,0

HPORIGINMODE is 0 (For Current)

PROPERTYPREVIEW is off (Read a post on how this was causing a bug in other versions)

HPQUICKPREVIEW is off (Same as PROPERTYPREVIEW bug)

I have run into this problem before over the years, but it was usually the SNAPBASE causing it. This time it seems more of an issue as whoever created the drawing someone set up a default ORigin that is locked. Is this possible, and if so is there a way to change it.

Also I appreciate your help in advanced!

I can't find the problem using 2008 and I don't have newer version to give it a test.

Will this do anything?

The Click to Set Origin will work if I do it through the Hatch Edit, but not the ribbon. The problem is that the new Origin I select in the previous step is not maintained. I would have to Click to Set Origin every Hatch I do.

I can offset the ORigin to correct it, but the X is off by 6 15/16" and the Y is off 2 7/8" from where the actual ORigin of hatch should start (At the red line intersections) I don't believe this is a Grid Snap Issue (Which is off anyway) Could this be some sort of Offset setting?

I Solved the Issue finally. HPORIGINSTOREASDEFAULT was the issue. The value was set to <0> by setting it to <1> it retained the ORigin command. Thanks for your time and help.

I've never come across this myself. Its actually not even on the Hatch and Gradients Command List. Link to List I happened to stumble across it while typing in variations of the words Defaults and Origins to see if anything came up that striked me as unusal, and Bingo.
