Grouping layers within "Layer Control" drop down

I am hoping to find a way in which I can group my layers together inside of the drop down list which has all my layers for my drawing in (layer control). For example, being able to have the highlighted layers shown below appear within a "sub-category" of some sort which I could lock or turn off with one click.

I am aware you can do something similar by opening "layer properties manager" and highlighting the layers I want turn off or lock and doing them as one however I was hoping there was a quicker way.

I am using AutoCAD 2014 and any help would be appreciated.

I tried using this prior to posting however it still means that I have to open up the layer property manager and doesn't display the group within the drop down. Any other ideas?

Using Ribbon you can have something like THIS

It's LayerFilterComboFilter. It's available up to version 2016.  Unfortunately not for 2017, see here
