Grid snap not displaying

Screenshot (1).pngHi i'm new to AutoCAD and recently just installed AutoCAD 2018 on my computer. But everytime i open up a new drawing the grid lines does not show and my cursor disappears when i move it into the drawing space.

for your cursor go to options > display (see attached). For your grid just press F7 in your keyboard. thanks

 The grid is turned on. The cursor disappears when it enters the drawing space regardless of size. I have tried turning the grid on and off which didn't solve the problem.

Don't worry i've fixed it. i turned hardware acceleration off. and everything is back.
