Grid Lines not showing in Model Space even after clicking button on the status bar.

Upon opening a saved AutoCad file, I did not see the gridlines in the Model Space. I clicked on the button in the status bar, but the lines are still not showing. Is there another configuration for this? Thanks so much for your help~!

What is your GRIDDISPLAY variable set to?  Try setting it at 3.

Are there dots instead?  Look into the GRIDSTYLE System Variable.

Is the grid spacing too large for your view area?  Look into the GRIDUNIT System Variable.

For that matter, just look through all the System Variables that start with GRID, >here<.

@jacqueline.hickey ,

"In certain AutoCAD drawings (DWG files), the background grid will not display using F7, GRIDMODE = 1, or by toggling the status bar icon."

I suspect that your grid colors under option and display tab and colors button are the same color as your background. so when they are on the still do not appear.

No need to restore to default, just do as the link mentions:
