Hi I'm wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me with a problem I seem to be having in AutoCAD with the grid lines? It might be something to do with my middle mouse button? Sometimes if I use the scroll wheel to zoom in the grid lines vanish, this also happens sometimes when I use the button to pan the drawing as well? As a newbie this is driving me insane.
Welcome to the Autodesk forums.
I rarely use Grid Lines so I may be off-base, but you might look into the Adaptive Grid settings in the Drafting Settings (DSETTINGS) dialog box. I believe the settings shown in the animation below are the "default" settings.
Apart from mine being in metric and having the "grid on" ticked at the top it looks exctly like that image. Nice image by the way. If I click in the top left corner of the viewport from say front to back it comes back?
So I updated to AutoCAD 2015, added the service pack, tried using software instead of hardware acceleration. The Grid is still disapearing on me. Seems to happen when I am placing something like a box or cylinder and use pan or zoom? Though in 2015 it sometimes comes back but not always.
