Globally changing plotters for all layouts in a drawing

Anonymous
Not applicable

I manage record drawings for a utility company, I produce dwf files for reference by the engineers and produce pdf files when needed manually.

Many of my drawings have been around a long time and DWF eplot.pc3 is my standard plotter, which is not available anymore.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change all layouts to the DWF6eplot.pc3 in one shot.

Did you save a page setup??  If so altering that page setup will alter it wherever it is used in that file.

HI,

you have to prepare page setup by PAGESETUP command then by publish command you can plot all of your layout in one shot..

Hi @Anonymous,

Editing a pagesetup should prompt you to apply it to all the layouts where it already exists. However, if you want to apply the PC3 when publishing to DWF you can also do it in the publish Dialog window by seleting Plotter named in page setup, selecting all the drawings and then select Import.

Let me know if this helps or if you need a video to demonstrate.

I remember the page setup changing the plotter globally in the past, but it only prompts that if I change the plot style table now.

Hi @Anonymous,

Try modifying the page setup slightly to see if that triggers it to change on all layouts. ( you can then modify it back to the original settings.

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you gotten this to work? You are welcome to attach some sample files if you want me to investigate
