Global width axis of Pline in AutoCAD

Hello, Community!.

I have a problem about global width axis.

When I set to some global width value on my pline, Pline of width will be created to vertical, not horizontal.

So, When I move to Top view, I can see the line such as "global width2.JPG(I attach it).

Can I rotate line axis?.

I don't know that line has axis.

I attach image my problem for reference.

@Anonymous,

Hi,

a polyline is (primary) a 2D-object (as long as it's not a 3D-polyline), and the global-width only is a width, but not a height.

If you want to control the "height" of a linear object then look to the "thickness" property:

HI @Anonymous,

Did @Alfred.NESWADBA's excxellent answer help you to understand the Width property on 2d Plines? Please add a post if you need additional information or if you to want to add a sample drawing.
