Industry

Judging Criteria

AutoCAD

Innovation, Complexity, and Parts found on the relevant Forum pages

For those who want to join without submitting the design:

Don’t worry, you can vote for the design you like using the “Like” button.  You need to Sign in to participate.  The votes won’t be one of the judging criteria, but we want to hear from you as well.

Finally, here's the Challenge!

AutoCAD is such a diverse product with many users in all different industries, so instead of asking you to simply design something that might not align with the industry you represent, we are leaving what you design completely up to you! However, you have to go on a scavenger hunt through the AutoCAD Forums to locate the part lists you can use in order to create your design!

The Challenge Requirements

  • Project entry must be created with AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD for Mac, or any of the Toolsets (this excludes AutoCAD Civil 3D).
  • You can choose any design you would like using the part lists you find through the scavenger hunt.
    • The part lists will be posted throughout the AutoCAD Forums. If you want bonus parts, you can Like the Post, Commenting on the Post will earn you even more bonus parts!
  • You should submit all required supporting information of your project, high-res images, renderings in PDF documents & videos of the project. Imagery and Videos must adhere to the following requirements:
    • At least three (3) but no more than five (5) images or photographs must be submitted with each Entry.
    • Images/Photos should be no larger than 10MB. Images/Photos accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or TIF.
    • Avoid text or logos on images.
    • Videos should be no larger than 72 MB and must not exceed 5 minutes. If a video is more than 5 minutes, only the first 5 minutes will be reviewed by the judges. Video accepted file formats: MP4, MPEG, and WAV; MP4 videos are preferred. The video should be hi-resolution (looks sharp on screen), 1920x1080.

Looking forward to seeing all of the designs and good luck!

Hi @htemizel

Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, we could not include all countries due to local restrictions and constraints that we could not resolve in time. We hope to have more countries in the future by addressing the various local requirements, but we could not manage to do this in time for this contest to run. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Oh really?

Even it was a accusation, i feel you have just few problems in your live if this is your opinion.

But it wasn't, it was just a question what he want to have answered, what is already done now.

Just MY opinion 🙄

Wow! Racism?! That's a pretty big stretch from what is obviously about being able to distribute the prizes to those countries.

Hi @rushabhthakkar_910

Thank you for wanting to participate! In order to receive the part lists you have to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt through the AutoCAD Forums to locate the posts I created. Once you like or reply to those posts you will receive a part list from me via a Private Message. With the part lists you receive you can then get to designing!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi all!

I really thought that this kind of event would be more popular
I think it's necessary more diffusion outside the community to have more reception
However I would like to be in.

I really enjoyed this competition. It was well thought out, and interesting from the start.

Anyway, after I scavenger hunted my way through some forums, and received my parts' lists, I immediately started brainstorming. I eventually came up with a robotic flying car concept.

I used enhanced stoves from the kitchen kit as propulsion (the orange and grey, dome-shaped thing that replaces the wheels).

With the vehicle pack I assembled the body and chassis that houses my creation.

Inside, you can see stepper motors from the 3D printer kit, and a few rack and pinion gears from the Arduino robotics vehicle option.

I went with a burning orange and gleaming chrome aesthetic with this car.

With my vehicle, you don't need to worry about mountains or oceans stopping your adventures. Zoom over traffic, and maybe even do some birdwatching ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I really enjoyed brainstorming, designing, and animating this project.

All the work is original, so I hope you guys enjoy. 🙂
