Generating Section Plane to Block

Hello Everyone,

Hoping to get some advice or help with an issue with generating a section plane to a block.

After selecting the section plane and the destination ('Insert as new block' and 'Export to a file') I click create and nothing appears. No preview of the block prompting me to place it or a new file when a destination is chosen.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

can you please upload the dwg-file?

The screenshots do not show which types of objects you have/...you want to create a section from.

Hi,

sorry to say, but what I expected ... your geometry is a 2D-geometry.

To create a section view you need to have 3D-geom!

Hello,

I'm also having troubles with the sections.

In my case I would like to make standar section with the following section settings:

- Intersection Boudary: white color, layer 0

- Intersection fill: face solid, color magenta

- Background lines: show yes, hidden line yes, color 204,204,204

Could you please help me out with this? Is any LISP routine for this?

Kind regards

What doesn't work for you? At which point do you have problems? And which problems?

The problem is that instead of select the settings by myself I want to set the default settings as described before.

Then I won't need to click many times later on.

I've tried that out several times and it doesn't work.

When I save the section as a tool, the tool doesn't remember the changes even if I try to fix it.

Here more detailed how I did it.

(If the video doesn't appear wait some minutes until it is finished at the server)

Thank you very much for your quick responses.

I think it still doesn't work. If you see in your video, in the section of "intersection fill" "show" no. It should be "yes"

For any reason the tool doesn't remember.

Is there anyway to program it with lisp?

Also ... I can't find the structure tool pallete. Do you know how to find it?

kind regards

Ok, you're right.

I canceled my test when I saw the predefined values in the settings window. But when I finish the command I also don't get the whished result. 😞
Sorry, my mistake ...

I tested it again in ACAD 2016 - here it works well as expected.

Obviously they did some changes (into the wrong direction).
