Free student version of autocad 2010 ?

Hi !

I'm a danish student, and I need to get the free version of autocad 2010, but I am not able to find it. It has to be the 2010 version, because thats what they use at my school. I'm sorry for my pour english, but I hope you'll understand my problem, and would be so kind to help me.

You can download the student version of AutoCAD 2010 after registering on the Education Community.

This video will show you how to register, while this other video will guide you through the steps you need to follow to download your product.

I am already registred as a user, but when i choose a product(autocad), it is the 2013 version, and not the 2010 version which i need

Hi Allan,

You have the ability to pick a previous version (if available) during the license request process. In your case AutoCAD 2010 is currently available.

Hi, i need this version of autocad student (2010) because my tablet pc has little memory storage. The oldest version available (2014) request too memory storage (6 Gb !!!!). What can i do?  Help me, please

Your only choice is to get a new computer. 

I would not try to run AutoCAD on a tablet. 

You might try AutoCAD 360, but.....

Thank you but my Tablet has specs that are sufficient to operate almost any desktop software. (Intel quadcore z3736f 2.16 Ghz, 64 bit, 2 Gb RAM) I purchased it for portability, I didn't bring my laptop around ... Autocad360 is not for students ...

I notice that 

1. You do not state your Operating System spec

2. You do not state how much free space you have on your HDD

3. You did not supply url to Autodesk page showing that your system meets specs to install AutoCAD.

those are pretty low-powered specs for the 2nd decade of the 21st century,,,,, and AutoCAD is NOT just 'any desktop software'.

If you really want to try an do any CAD on something that low-end, you might try Draftsight.  Free to use for any purpose, and requires much less in the way oif resources than AutoCAD.  Of course it also has reduced capabilities.....

You were looking to a thread from 2012/5 years ago. AutoCAD 2010 can't be downloaded any more.

Even if I send you the 2010, all you will get is 30 days to play with it, you'll will not get activation code from Autodesk.

AutoCAD version 2010 is 9 releases old, not any more supported by Autodesk (also not shipped for years now).

That is really ridiculous, can you ask your teacher why you are using a software that is out of date in all aspects? What you learn is not used for long time now. SCNR: exception could be in the history lessons.

If you pay money to the school try to get it back, they are teaching things which are not used now and not used in the future.

In worst case get your student license (which is currently release 2019) and when you have finished your project save it back to DWG-2010 format.

If your teacher could not work with your drawing ask him why a teacher nowadays works with historical tools to get students prepared for the future.
