free Cad

I am not a student but i do use Cad for design and electrical at work in limitied situations, i am looking to further my skills and wanted to see if there was a free version of cad mechanical to do so. i would like to have on my home system so i can devolpe further skills.

is there any versions i can download for free not being inrolled in a achademic school??

Many of autodesks product offer different purchasing options including very reasonably priced subscriptions. I think you can get Fusion FREE edit: see post below

Autocad 360 pro is less than $0.30USD a day. https://www.autocad360.com/pricing.html

Things like Autodesks TinkerCAD are completely free. https://www.tinkercad.com/

Also as mentioned earlier you can often download trial versions of many of Autodesks products. 

I know many companies encourage employee enrichment and may be willing to pay for a licence for you to further your skills. It might be worth looking into.

@TheCADnoob AutoAD360 Pro is not available as a PC web app,it's just a viewer with measuring abilities, only as a mobileOS tablet app is it functional for drawing (as long as you do not want to create a new drawing from scratch, require precision levels greater than two decimal points and all of your files are under 30MB in size to name a few of the dozens of limitations).

If you are on subscription with AutoCAD2017 go to your accounts page and help yourself to a free "pro" access to AutoCAD360 and see for yourself.

Thanks for the clarification. I remember having edited with it once, but it must have been a couple iterations ago. Definitely cant do it now, this makes me a sad panda...

"WS" was the one you probably recall before it morphed into AutoCAD360 and had its free version's legs cut off.
