Format tab not showing?

I am using the Autocad 2016 tutorial (attached).

It says to select Format on the menu bar:

My Autocad does not show this.  Instead it shows:

How can I get the Format tab?

Hello Bruce,

It's not 'Format tab' it's 'menu Format', you'll have to put the menus visible...

It's not 'Format tab' it's 'menu Format', you'll have to put the menus visible...

Where in the hell is your "drawing setup" according to your instructions to go into the "Format Menu"? I finally found the format menu with the help of this forum but there is no "Drawing Setup" in there! WTF!😠😡

In AutoCAD it means the Units Dialog,

Menu Formats/Units

or Command Units

There you can set Lunits (like Decimal) and Insunits (Meter, for example).

My questions is WHY? Why are you trying to find a dialog you don't know what the content is!?

Greetings @jvenegas1973 We are all end users over here just like you around here. Whom are you speaking with exactly?

1) your tutorial is from an older program, no longer relevant.

2) "drawing Setup" is not a plain AutoCAD feature (your program screenshot with the black background), you are using the incorrect variant for that ability. You also seem to be referencing incorrect tutorials for plain AutoCAD.

What variant were you hoping to be using instead?

For example, it is found in this variant over here from the red A in the top left corner of the program window, which also does not have pulldown menus at all anymore
