Automatic Enter

Hello,

I have experienced one big problem while working in Autocad 2016.

It seems like suddenly while working something happens and Autocad stops working correctly.

While entering a commad like polyline or move or rectangle etc. it seems like autocad automatically press enter.

For example if I press command Move with keyboard ''M-Space'' it automatically ends command without letting me select objects. (Screen shot 2) If I go on icon ''move'' it automatically select distance so I can't select base point (Screen shot 3). Seems like when i start command it automatically press eneter for one time and skipp one line of command.

Does anybody had similar issues and maybe know the answer ?

Tx

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Make your command-line docked, this handles keyboard entries better.

Could you have a faulty keyboard, in which the space bar is registering twice when you press it?

Hi @Kent1Cooper

faulty keyboard can't be the problem, because this problem occurs suddenly while using Autocad normally, also if I press on command icon, without using keyboard it also skip one command step (like he press enter for one time all by himself).

It happened to me on 2 different computers with different keyboards. Sometimes it works normal, and then in 1 of 20-30 times this problem occurs.

Your screenshot shows that the commandline is not docked ...

Hi @Alfred.NESWADBA

When this problem occured commandline was docked. After that I tried to do all kind of stuff to find the solution. I was also moving the commandline, so when I took the screen shot commandline wasn't  docked. Sorry for not saying that in first reply.

Hi,

ok, second suggestion: turn off dynamic input (at least for a test period)
