Hey folks... with the help of some advice from this forum, and lots of clicking and cutting...I have learned enough to use CAD for my first set of drawings for a new residence.
I've completed the drawing of several different layers from the foundation through the roof plan. Now I want to create different layouts that feature the required details for that drawing. Is this an appropriate approach? FYI.. working with AutoDesk 2002.
Yes. It's been a while since I have seen anything close 2002, however, you are able to create multiple layouts within one drawing. Of course, you could also create multiple drawings which uses a reference (XREFs) to your base drawings.
I would recommend starting off entering your first layout tab. Then you can create the appropriate number of viewports with the MVIEW command. You would then set the necessary view per viewport. Naturally, defining a VIEW within model space will allow you to restore those views in your viewports.
It sounds like you are trying to learn, so play with that a bit. If you get lost or stuck, just come back and ask. I'm certain someone can get you moving again.
