how can i get the side menu to display more clearly , i find it very faint at the
file shortcut menu

Hi,
You can change the windows Color and Appearance by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and select ‘Personalise’.
On 'Personalise' the screen you can select windows themes including ease of access themes >
