File dropdown in menu bar not working, or slow

I goto file in the menu bar to drop it down, and it takes about 30 seconds to drop down. Whats the fix?

Which dialog in particular? can you provide a screen shot?

Does the slowness only occur with the file menu and not any of the others?

Found out its because I was not on the VPN, and the computer and autocad could not find file locations.
