Field List Separator

Is there a way to remove the list separator in a field?

I created the field in an MText. 

I want the XY coordinate with X on top and Y on bottom with no comma, semicolon, or slash between.

I have tried deleting it leaving that space blank but it defaults back to a comma.

I know I can do separate fields in the same MText but don't what to have to select the same object twice.

I have a ton of points and do not want to double my work.

You will need to use only the X then only the Y, side by side, but not both at the same time like you have checked in those boxes now.
