Fatal Error when plotting

I have a file with 9 clipped dwf references, when I plot; a fatal error occurs. FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Violation Writting... Exception at bcfda607h.

I have audited and recovered the file and the one xref to remove any errors.

I have tried plotting in 2015-2016, In Civil 3d and autocad.

I have tried different prinnters and print to pdf.

When I delete the dwf's printing is fine (so, the dwf's are the problem)

What would cause attached dwf's in a file to crash the file when plotting?

I should has also asked this as well, sorry:
What are you plotting to? Is the plotter predefined in the file? Does it crash as PLOT pop-up comes up or after you click OK to proceed with your plot?

I clipped 9 small DWF files into a DWG file and it was pretty darn sluggish to use but I managed to PLOT to the dwg-to-pdf driver without a crash in R2016 with the same PC specs.

The plot dialog come up fine. The fatal error is after I hit ok to plot. I have tried different copy machines, dwg to pdf and tried using sheet set, to the same printers.

To determined that it was the dwf. I deleted all dwf's and the file plotted fine. Then I added 4 dwf's back in the file and got the crash results. I also recreated the cad file by using a blank dwg and adding back in the cad objects needed. With the dwf's I got the same results.

Thanks
