Fatal Error PDF

I've had issues with files after a pdf has been attached. I receive a Fatal Error. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

I've attached pdf's for voltage calculation reference. Several pdf. Using relative path. After closing the file I can not reopen, whether it be right after or a day after. Quite perplexing as I've never ran into this issue before.
