Extra Geometry when Rendering & in Visual Styles

Good afternoon,

I am attempting to render a piece of custom hardware but there is extra geometry that shows up in every visual style except the wire frame. What is this and how do I get rid of it?

that image doesn't really tell me what it is that's 'extra'.   Can you do a screen capture of a good wireframe, and then a capture of a bad render?

Sure! Please see attached.

The balls are not "really there" but show up in every view except wire frame.
