Extend command only works when typed

I've recently gone through and added some keyboard shortcuts to make my CAD work a little bit more efficient. Ever since I've done this, the Extend command has had a problem.

Originally, I had mapped the Extend command to CTRL+T, overwriting the tablet command. However, I quickly realized that executing the command now did absolutely nothing. I remapped it to CTRL+E, and it didn't work either. It didn't try executing anything else, it just did nothing. I tried clicking into the command, and that doesn't work anymore either. The only way I can execute the extend command now is by typing it into the command bar. Has anyone encountered this problem before, or have any suggestions on fixing it?

X is the abbreviation I use for Extend: X then spacebar (which acts as <enter>) works all the time.
T for TRIM also.

And if you are in either command and hold the shift key down you get the other command.

Use the spacebar as <enter> is my advice.

Did you set the CTRL+T by typing each letter?  Or did you pick the little ellipsis button on the far right and hold down CTRL button and then hit the T button?  What does your macro say?

See attached for an example.
