EXPORTLAYOUT - Lisp file for exporting multiple tabs to separate drawings

Hi

Where do I get the lisp file noted in the article below - there is no obvious link to it?

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Automati...

Issue:

When using the EXPORTLAYOUT command in AutoCAD, only one layout or paperspace is exported as drawing at a time. How to export multiple layouts to individual DWG files automatically?

Solution:

  • There is no automated routines within AutoCAD but you can load free lisp file using the full version of AutoCAD.

Cheers,

Keith.

Hi Alfred,

Yes I did try that link and as it suggests, it is a third party application. I am in a corporate situation and so i cannot load 3rd party stuff.

Cheers

Hi,

Well, your question was how to get that app, if you don't want it or you are not allowed to install or to use it, then I don't understand your initial post.

Try the attached LISP files

Source :

JTB LayoutsToDwgs - Export layouts to separate drawings - LayoutsToDwgs.lsp (This is the LISP format of the 3rd party app mentioned)

Hi,

>> Try the attached LISP files

As the OP wrote he is not allowed to use 3rd party app, I would say he is not allowed to use that too ... but lets see 😉

I believe he was looking for the LISP solution mentioned in the AKN article, as he highlighted in the OP (he never pointed to the second 3rd party solution) .but lets see 😉

Thanks Guys,

I will try the solutions offered but things have moved on and the need is not urgent right now.

I was looking for the lisp that the AKN suggested existed. I was expecting a knowledgeable person to know where to find this but I get the impression t hat it doesn't exist. Hohum. For what it is worth (not much I guess), I feel that the authors of these articles should make a point of providing links to anything the reference (as they did in this case with the 3rd party stuff) and check it actually exists. Then again, I might just be unlucky and these things are normally fully referenced.

Thanks again for your time.
