Why is the full extent of my inserted .jpg in the view port visible in the new Model Space drawing created by EXPORTLAYOUT?

AutoCAD does not clip raster images.

Thank you. Good to know - so what would be the solution to that
Also, what about OLE that has been inserted in the original Layout? They as well as Data links disappear too

You will need to edit/trim your raster image prior to placement in the layout: and keep in mind referenced content (including linked OLEs and datalinks) are not going to self-attach and travel along. Known limitations.

Perhaps you should PLOT your layout to a PDF, then PDFIMPORT it into a blank/empty DWG file for a similar effect? If sending your original and all supporting files (like through ETRANSMIT command) is not an option.
