export autoCAD file to Proteus

Could you please tell me how it is possible to export an autoCAD file to Proteus? The reason is that I would like to import an autoCAD file into another software and as far as i know this is the only way to be done. Thank you

Give us links, also info's about what interfaces that software accepts.

Why not mention what software this is, maybe someone knows a direct way so you don't have to go through 2 different interfaces (and each having it's own banana skin).

I would like to import some autoCAD files into COMOS Software (Siemens).
This import is not possible for the moment.


After a discussion I had with COMOS Support they proposed to export autoCAD
files to Proteus and then import them into COMOS.



As far as I know, Proteus is electrical CAD software for
electrical/electronic design. And that is my problem. I have no further idea
about it.



Do you have any suggestions?

   1.6 Exporting and Importing DWG/DXF files

There you can see that DWG-files up to DWG format 2010 is directly supported (I don't know if the PDF is a current one or not, so it has to be verified).

So either the name "Comos" is not a product name, but more something like a product group or a system that contains many modules (each handling different jobs) or the people from Siemens might have missed something.

In the first case (multiple modules/...) we need more info about what module/... you are speaking about.

Are you shipping electrical plans?

My guess for that is: when a software handles electrical parts then every data-exchange of geometry not known by that system will not work.

Not knowing the product will make the handling of the interface more complex than just export and import.

Let the Siemens people show you were to find "Proteus" in the www and what interfaces they provide.

Proteus the PCB /micro boards design software? Are you designing circuit boards? Looks like you have to buy Proteus to import cad files to create "proteus" files for your Siemens product.
