I'm working with rooms dimensions.
The way I work is draw polylines as room walls in a section of a building.
Then create a block with those polylines.
Add associative to polylines dimensions in block editor/edit block in place.
Then copy/mirror the block to other same sections of the building.
When block is mirrored then dimensions are obviously displayed mirrored too.
So before plotting the material I save a copy of a file and explode the blocks so that dimensions display correctly.
I have multiple blocks like that.
Now for some reason when I explode blocks, in some blocks the dimensions disassociate and they also are still displayed upside down after explosion. In some blocks however my system works.
I have not been able to find a difference in my pattern of working with those blocks.
Any leads?
See example file attached.
P.S. I can not use a dynamic block with a flip since it can not be edited in place and I need to see the plans under the block while editing.
Thank you!

Hi,

Would you exactly tell us where is this appear ?

I didn't understand your instruction. Can you repeat it?
What's "take out all dim."?
Take out from block?
Then it will definitely dissociate, woudln't it?
My main problem is for the block to display dimensions properly, but i'd also prefer for it to stay associative.
From the comments posted you can see that problem is with mirrored blocks but they change their behavior. Why?
I did what (I think) you advised.
It was helpful. I took out dimension and mirrored them with the block and copied for all the mirrored block.
It still was time consuming (especially if I had many blocks).
Hoping for a simpler solution to have dimensions stay same way.
Thanks for your CAD file comments ..

you may check your MIRRTEXT system variable .
Command: MIRRTEXT
Enter new value for MIRRTEXT <0>:

Excuse me ... would you attache again your CAD dwg file BUT after explode all the blocks ?
Imad Habash
Here you go. I selected all the blocks and pressed "X".
Thanks
Hi. So just to finish up this discussion I would like to write that I did find kind of partial solution.
If I create a block with polylines, then mirror it, then edit in place the mirrored instance of the block and add associative dimensions to polylines, then after exploding they display correctly...
I don't think it worked for the block when it was rotated 180 degrees though.
Thank you everyone
