Excel 365 - Data linking to tables = incorrect formatting

I'm using Win 11, Excel 365, and Civil 3D 2025 (although since this is a core AutoCad function I figured I'd ask here first).

I've created some tables in Excel and created data links to them in my drawing.  When I insert the tables from the data links using a cell range, the tables come in all wonky.  Cells are empty, cells are spaced too wide, cells are missing.  If I right-click and select Update Data Link the table changes and gets closer to what it should be. If I do that again, 90% of the time the table changes again and is correct.

I used to do this in the past many, many times and it was almost flawless.  That was in 2020-2023-ish and on older versions of everything.  Is something different/difficult using data links in the 365 environment?

How are you inserting the table, is it an AutoCAD table, or is it an OLE object. It has been a few months since I've linked a table, but even then, I dont recall ever having the issue like what you are describing in any older versions or times I have used it.  Would it be possible to share some screenshots of what you are seeing, and the table content in excel?  The next step after that would be sharing the drawing and excel that is exhibiting this behavior.
