Once I hit the erase command the cursor is extremely slow and sluggish. I have downloaded the service packs and updates but there was no change.
Thanks.
HI,
does this happened to every command or just to erase command ? also does it happened in every CAD .dwg file or just in a certain one ?

It happens in drawings that have an xref and the xref has an xref of a jpeg.
Hi,

i guess here that this attached jpeg is the reason for your problem. i suggest from xref palette to unload your xref with the image and see if any changes . if it's fixed please try to modify your image in a way that prevent any unexpected problems . please try to find some suggestion here that may fix your issue . >> Click <<

Hi dblakney
Which Version are you using, not only service packs. There are also a couple of settings.
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware
First Check your Graphics-hardware
1, Disable Selection Cycling, Quick Properties and Dynamic Input(set DYNMODE to 0)
2, If this doesn't improve the situation then go to Tools>Options (or type in Options at the command line) and on the Display tab uncheck 'Show Tooltips' and ‘Show rollover ToolTips’ option. [find the attachment]
3, Also try the Selection tab and uncheck 'When no command is active' under Selection Preview [find the attachment]
With all these changes you should notice an improvement and your mouse will no longer "snap" and cause a delay
if the card and driver are not certified by the link provided. Also it has been caused by the mouse driver. We have tested that by uninstalling current driver and installing a generic Microsoft driver.

Try that setting: set SELECTIONPREVIEW to 0 (>>>details<<<) ... better?

Thanks for your help! It was actually a problem with Calibri Light font. We changed it and it fixed the problem.

I was having the same problem (came to this thread for answers). Freezing the text layer in the xref fixed the problem, although the font used was not Calibri - it was Swis721 LT BT Light. We've been using this font for years with both parent drawings and xrefs. Not sure why this issue suddenly showed up, but it's doing it on 2 different systems all of a sudden (both have AutoCAD 2019 LT with all service packs installed).
