Entering a number when moving, copying, etc send the item way off in space.

All of the sudden, out of nowhere, when I want to enter a number (say 100) to move, copy, etc an item, it sends the item way out in space. It will move it in the X and the Y direction a bizarre amount. If I enter the number using"@100,0" it works. I've never seen this.

I tried the file on a few different versions of Autocad (2019, 2023) of the same file, and it doesn't matter. If I start a new drawing, entering just the number (100) it works. Must be something in my cad file?? Any thoughts.

Hi,

make sure Your View and UCS is set to your needs.

For a test, open your file and type in

UCS<enter>VIEW<enter>

PLAN<enter>VIEW<enter>

Now, measure a distance of ~25% of what is on screen

DIST<enter>Pick point1, pick point2

Use this distance for the next test:

Draw a circle, start MOVE command and move the circle by using the measured distance

Works?
