How do i embed a font into a published drawing. I have a user that has a new install of the software and when he publishes a drawing from cad and tries to open it in adobe it give the error. "Cannot find or create the font 'SansSerif'. Some characters may not display or print correctly" When i compare the same published pdf that another coworker makes i can see in the pdf properties that SansSerif is embedded and Adobe has no issue opening the file. Using Autocad 2016.

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
This should be fairly easy to set up.
in the plot window, select the PDF driver as the plotter. I am using the AutoCAD PDF.
Then select the PDF Options button.
Select Convert all text to geometry.
This will embed all the text into the PDF but will not be searchable. Certain fonts do not always behave properly if you just use the Capture fonts used in the drawing button. (SHX fonts are not searchable and fonts that are Licensed sometimes get blocked. Poorly constructed fonts will also misbehave)

Select the correct setting from the built-in PDF choice you want on the PUBLISH (and PLOT) command pop-up ,and you can get what you want:
If you want to use a third party PDF driver in PLOT or PUBLISH command then you have to go there and see if they offer that option.
When entering this dialog box on AutoCAD 2019 I'm unable to change any settings.
I get stuck at this message saying "Invalid Output folder path". Is this some kind of bug?
My output folder for PDF files works and I can plot like normal so it's not that.
Hi @Anonymous,
I am unable to duplicate this behavior. Are you working on a network or a cloud-sync folder? Does this happen if you work with the files on your C: drive?
If you log on as a new user does the problem persist?

Looks like it's a bug in AutoCAD 2019, there is supposed to be a TextBox with the path at the top but it is missing from the Plot dialogue.
It works if you open the settings from Publish instead of Plot, see screenshot:
*correction
It is not supposed to check if it's a valid path when the TextBox is not visible from the Plot window.
HI @Anonymous,
What does this location point to in your OPTIONS? Can you try selecting a different folder and location for the plot to files?
