Editing AutoCAD drawings without distorting formatting in MS Word

Hello All,

I have a document that contains multiple embedded AutoCAD drawings. The issue I am currently having is that when I double-click to edit the drawing, edit the drawing in AutoCAD, save and then return to Microsoft Word, the formatting gets distorted (e.g. sometimes the view of the drawing is off from where it was originally, or the size of the drawing boundaries gets enlarged so much I can't use the edges to bring it back in.)

Does anyone know of a straightforward to way of solving this issue that does not include cropping/reformatting/resizing and also copy/paste (as that includes having to crop and resize the drawing).

I'd like to avoid having to do that so as not to disturb or accidentally delete other parts of the document.

I've attached sample AutoCAD drawings to illustrate my issue.

Thanks in advance.

@jsidd3 That's an MSWord/OLE/Microsoft type query, your live-link is somehow getting distorted. Sadly there is nothing inside AutoCAD that is going to fix your issue. Sorry.

Try asking in the Microsoft user forums dedicated to MSWord.
