E-Transmit Missing Files and X'refs not binding.

I have a sheetset that links back to lots of xrefs/ civil 3d model files/ images etc.. And i want to e transmit everything to just single drawings with everything bound and all civil 3d objects exploded etc.. Pretty common for submission on lots of projects..

Maybe its just me, but it seems the etransmit tool is completely broken. Two critical issues plague me.

1. Xref's Fail to bind.. (tried Insert and Bind). ive noticed i cant bind them when I open the drawings as well. Drawings need auditing/purging/wblocking to allow things to bind..

2. Some drawings don't get e-transmitted. (the files just are not there after etransmit). This issue in particular is very frustrating. Ive tried turning everything off (binding / exploding etc..) it just randomly misses files each time.

Anyone else want to share their work around for this..

"1. Xref's Fail to bind..."

This is the cause to your problem.

Have you tried using Recoverall command to open a problem dwg to see if that would then allow you to xref bind and therefore eTransmit successfully?

Good day.

Just wanted to make sure you picked the right settings for eTRANSMIT.

I have never had it fail but Paul may have the right answer to as for using Recover on all the needed drawings to be sure.

But check the following Pasted Images. Sometimes checks get missed and things don't go as planned.

Doing the right Bind is critical for the next person that will open the zip file. Checking the Fonts is a good idea as well.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, JRR!

@paullimapa I have attempted RECOVERALL.. this seems to fix binding manually when I open the drawing.. But the Etransmit tool still fails to bind..

@jreidKVSUZ  I have attempted both Bind and Insert.. (Note i prefer to insert in this case as the submissiion processed requiries all layers meet a certain standard, I cant have the xref name in the layers etc..)

Honestly i'm more concerned about this missing drawings then the xref binding...

Nothing new in there... Paul... Not binding the xrefs it not really a solution.. Also nothing in there about files not been included in the etransmit.. im going to "Zip" up a package here for people to test and see if you get the same results..
