DXF to KML with Autocad

Hello,

My client is using Autocad and gave my a DXF file but it is a lot easier for me to process a KML/SHP file.

I have found many tools de convert from DXF to KML/SHP, but my question is, would it be possbile that my client export his data directly in KML or SHP rather than DXF directly in Autocad?

Sorry no, AutoCAD does not have a built in function to save or export geometry to KML/KMZ.

As you have found tools to convert DXF to KML there exist also tools for AutoCAD which might do the same, so it's worth to google for that, but I doubt that this would make anything easier.

It looks like if they have access to map or maybe civil 3d there may be a way to get it to you in that format.
