Hi.

Is there any way to make a dwg file that only works for example 1 week and that after 1 week it is not possible to open the dwg file?

In AutoCAD, no.
But you can use additional methods to protect files and make access on time.

Hi,

may I ask the reasons for such a workflow? Why would anyone want to lose data/work he/she did?

The reason is that the DWG file is a drawing That shows sensitiv info on a plant. The DWG is to be sendt to a supplier and we do not want them to have unlimited access.

Hi,

Well, if you send the data the partner can then open the dwg-file, use copy & paste to copy the content of the geometry into a new drawing. So it is irrelevant if the original drawing is self-destroying after some time.

Either send the data (as PDF or whatever) + the license agreements/contract for "what is allowed", that's how you can protect your work.
