dwg appearance/materials

When opening a dwg that I exported from inventor the custom appearances show up in auto cad using realistic view. When I send the dwg to another person it loses the appearances and shows as default grey parts. Is there a way to attach or reference the appearances so anyone opening them in another location will be able to see the appearances ?

Hi,

Different appearance can be changed with visual styles. Use command  VSC and change it to realistic view.
