drawing missing

 i made a copy of the master drawing and edited it as required for my purpose and encased it in a rectangle and then saved it. but when i opened the drawing the next day, the image (drawing in the rectangle only) is missing. the rest of the drawing that i made to use for editing is visible. the interesting part is that the entire drawing is seen in the preview thumbnail.

Hi,

Delete that rectangle you created and check whether it is a wipeout frame or not. 

If not Please upload the drawing.

Preview is not a peak inside the DWG file, it's a static image embedded in the DWG file from the last time you saved.
