Drawing lines with coordinates - x and y coordinates reversed without "-" symbol

Hello.

Apologies if this question has been asked - it is difficult to navigate without knowing proper terminology.  Thanks for any tips/advice.

The Problem:

When I have a drawing started, and then try to add a line at 350 to the right, and 350 up, I first left click on my starting point, then type "350, 350" (see images below)

- My dynamic input is on

- I am not using a "-" symbol

- I can get it to work using the "@", but according to the instructions shown below, I shouldn't need to..?

InstructionsInstructionsEntering 350, 350.png

results of "350, 350"results of "350, 350"

Hi,

if dynamic input uses relative or absolute coordinates is defined by this system variable:

DYNPICOORDS (>>>details<<<).

Thanks for the reply.

I was able to get the system to do what I was trying to do (move right 350 and up 350 from the chosen base point), but I had to type in the "@" symbol.  Of course, this is an option - to always type "@" when I want it to be relative - however, in the tutorial video I'm using, the narrator simply types in "350, 350" (without the "@"), and the line goes up and to the right from the reference point (the start point of his line is NOT at 0,0). My coordinates are set at "Relative" when I right click on the coordinate display in the application status bar.

Perfect.  Thanks for leading me there!

I looked further in to DYNPICOORDS through a Google search, and found this after right clicking on DYNMODE:
