Drawing House Plans

Hey guys,

It's been quite a while since I used AutoCAD.

I usually use Inventor and other 3d software.

Today I have a little 'challenge': I need to make a simple house plan in AutoCAD.

I can burn through the AutoCAD commands, no problem.

But instead of wearing myself out using basic commands, I want to see if there's a set of commands that make creating house plans easy and simple. So I ask this quesiton:

Is there a double line command for exterior and interior walls?

Are there out-of-the-box dynamic blocks for doors, windows and all the standard fixed appurtenances?

I already wasted an hour online looking for answers, and since nothing satisfied me, I'm asking in here.

Any 'guidance' is appreciated!

HI

For double line you can use "MLINE"

and for dynamick door block ,maybe you can find it on your Tool palettes/architectural (CTRL +3)

attached a simple (imperial) set  for your start.
